Senior Equity Research Analyst

Senior Equity Research Analyst responsible for autonomous quantitative and qualitative research on domestic common stocks, providing insights to Wealth & Asset Management portfolio managers and director. Reports directly to the W&AM Director, Equity & Alternative Research.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform autonomous quantitative and qualitative research on various securities for client accounts managed by W&AM Portfolio Managers and division portfolios.
Cover multiple sectors of the U.S. equity markets, developing exhaustive depth and breadth of industry, company, and stock knowledge.
Inform Portfolio Managers and director of trends affecting domestic capital markets and individual stock prices via emails, conference calls, and in-person visits.
Prepare internal and external research reports including notes and documents to support stock recommendations.
Present findings to internal and external constituencies, including the media as required.
Contribute to team success through best practice sharing; may act as SME providing functional, process, and professional expertise.
Execute special project work as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May have supervisory, coaching, and/or mentoring responsibilities for Equity Research Analysts, W&AM Leadership Program participants, and other W&AM staff.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
CFA designation strongly preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Superior quantitative and analytical skills.
Seven to ten years of investment research experience, preferably in equities.
Intellectual curiosity, focus, creativity, and keen research instinct with creative problem‑solving skills.
Ability to generate financial models.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working Conditions
Normal office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, temperature variations.
Extended viewing of CRT screen.
Approximately 25% travel.
Base salary reflects the range for the role within U.S. pay grade; salaries vary by role, skillset, experience, education, and location. The position also offers incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits program.
