HVAC Mobile Engineer
– CBRE – Auburn, Washington, USA
About the Role CBRE is hiring a Mobile Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support multiple sites (hospitals, financial institutions, retail) in the Auburn area. The technician will fix equipment issues, perform preventive and emergency maintenance, and document work in a CMMS. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience, strong problem‑solving skills, and are physically capable of fast‑paced tasks.
What You’ll Do
Perform inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.
Diagnose equipment failures and determine the best course of action for repairs and modifications.
Operate HVAC systems and associated equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
Complete assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance while maintaining accurate work records.
Operate assigned company vehicles to travel to job sites.
Apply standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish tasks and address non‑routine problems.
Mentor colleagues, share HVAC expertise, and lead by example in alignment with CBRE RISE values.
Collaborate with team members, ensure high‑quality, efficient task completion, and communicate technical information clearly to both colleagues and clients.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma (or equivalent experience). 4–5 years of commercial HVAC experience.
Valid driver’s license and EPA Universal and E06a certification.
Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and experience with a CMMS.
Advanced math skills for basic calculations (percentages, fractions).
