Job Description We’re seeking a passionate and hands‑on
Digital Accessibility Evangelist
to lead accessibility initiatives across our client’s customer‑facing digital platforms — including websites, mobile apps, and other digital experiences.
In this role, you’ll combine
strategic leadership
with
practical accessibility expertise
to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA, ADA, and Section 508 standards. You’ll collaborate with design, engineering, and product teams to drive inclusive design practices, conduct audits, guide remediation, and champion accessibility as a key part of the digital experience.
Responsibilities
Lead execution of the digital accessibility roadmap and integrate accessibility across digital products.
Conduct accessibility audits using both manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Axe, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
Provide remediation guidance to development and UX teams to meet WCAG 2.2 AA compliance.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to embed accessibility best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
Deliver accessibility training and awareness sessions to teams across the organization.
Track and report accessibility metrics, risks, and progress toward program maturity.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in digital accessibility, program management, or hands‑on auditing.
Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, ADA, Section 508, and related regulations.
IAAP CPACC, WAS, or CPWA certification (required).
Experience using assistive technologies and automated testing tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
Must be
local to Chicago or Houston
and available for hybrid work.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in UX design, front‑end development, or QA with accessibility focus.
Airline or travel industry familiarity (ACAA knowledge a plus).
Experience building or maturing enterprise accessibility programs.
Benefits A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is
$50–$60/hr on W2
