Senior Network Engineer – Juniper Switches (Houston, TX)
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will design, configure, and support enterprise customers' DNS, DHCP, IPAM & NTP needs.
This is a 40-hour-per-week, 6-month contract (possibility of extensions). This is an on-site role in Houston, TX. This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K offered.
Base pay range $67.50/yr - $67.50/yr
Responsibilities
Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, and firewalls.
Requirements
9+ years of progressive experience in network architecture, design, engineering and implementation in global IT networks and network security.
5+ years of experience with Juniper Switching.
Advanced knowledge of networking technologies, concepts, and protocols including but not limited to TCP/IP, routing, switching, IPAM, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, F5 GTM / LTM, SSH, VPN, Internet Proxy, IPS, IDS, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS.
Strong knowledge of Wi‑Fi protocols and supporting protocols including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, ACLs, LDAP.
Experience managing datacenter technologies with Juniper switches and routers.
Experience with SDN, SD‑WAN products and services (Silverpeak, Aruba), structured cabling systems, and network facilities.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure, IP addressing, and IP traffic management.
Design, configure, deploy, and optimize Aruba ClearPass and wireless solutions.
Created or edited IT policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and position papers.
Troubleshot and resolved complex network issues related to Aruba ClearPass and wireless technologies.
Monitored and analyzed network performance and health using Aruba tools.
Provided technical guidance and recommendations on Aruba ClearPass and wireless solutions.
Performed Wi‑Fi surveys and created heat maps.
Familiarity with DHCP/DNS/IPAM (Infoblox), load balancers (F5, etc) is a plus.
Experience in network security including device hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, and IPSec, vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection.
Knowledge of QoS, NetFlow, wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, virtual networks, NAT, ACL controls, web security/URL filtering, IPSec, malware prevention.
IPv4 and IPv6 experience is a must.
Certifications in JNCIE (DC or ENT), CCIE, JNCNP or CCNP (enterprise).
