Overview Playfly Sports is looking for a Consultant, Sales and Service to join our team at Rutgers University. The Rutgers University Division of Athletics and Playfly Aspire seek a teacheable, positive and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sports sales industry leader. Revenue will be generated primarily from outbound phone calls, supplemented with email marketing, face-to-face presentations and in-arena/stadium tours. Day-to-day leadership and mentoring will be provided by the Aspire Leadership.
What You’ll Accomplish
Implement “Next Practices” and the Raise Your Game Executive Development Program to raise industry standards through training, development, and coaching
Generate revenue primarily from outbound phone calls; supplements include email marketing, face-to-face presentations, and in-arena/stadium tours
Receive day-to-day leadership and mentoring from the Aspire Leadership
Provide tools, programs, and systems to support performance goals and customer service excellence
Perform outbound calls and service inbound calls for Rutgers Athletics with a concentration on Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, and Men’s Lacrosse
Manage available inventory for sale (Season Tickets, Premium Seating, Mini and Flex Plans, Group Ticket Sales)
Manage and retain a large base of Premium Seating, Season Ticket Members, and Group Sales clients
Meet or exceed renewal percentage targets and weekly/monthly sales goals while delivering value and customer service
Grow sales by generating additional business leads
Maintain computerized records of all prospects and customers within Ticketing/CRM
Work home games with ticket sales and service duties as assigned
Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season tickets, corporate, partial plans and group tickets
Make 60-80 outbound calls daily

What You’ll Bring
Desire to start and grow a career in the sports ticket sales industry or collegiate athletics
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail-oriented
Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills
Ability to communicate effectively with executives, staff, and fans at all levels
Professional image and demeanor

Ability to work well with others and take initiative
Availability to work athletic events, including home games and special events in evenings and on weekends
Travel, Lifting, Physical Requirements
Availability to work outside typical office hours, including nights and weekends as needed
Light sedentary work with walking, standing, bending, and light item carrying
Office environment with standard lighting and climate control
May require occasional travel
Compensation Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and work location. Base pay range: $14–$15 USD.
