Overview
Working under the overall direction of the Director of the Employment Alliance, the Employment Services Lead will be responsible for a combination of leadership and direct support tasks. Leadership tasks include direct oversight of employment specialists, involvement in intake processes, and support with reporting, billing functions, and administrative duties. Direct support tasks may include providing employment supports such as job coaching, pre‑ETS, assessment, travel training, and other services through OPWDD, the NYS Commission for the Blind, and ACCES VR funding streams. The role is integral to supporting the mission, vision, and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.
Pay rate: $25.93 – $28.25/hour. The salary range is based on departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The range represents the organization’s good faith estimate of possible compensation.
Responsibilities
Provide direct oversight and support to assigned employment specialists, including mentoring, coaching, training, caseload management, record maintenance, billing, quality reviews, communication with support teams, and funder liaison.
Support specialists with crisis management, workplace conflicts, and barriers to services.
Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including OPWDD, ACCES‑VR, the NYS Commission for the Blind, businesses, agencies, and school personnel.
Perform administrative tasks as directed by the supervisor, such as billing audits, companion reviews, scheduling, and other duties.
Direct Support
Support individuals with disabilities on and off the job site, developing work‑related skills or providing pre‑employment/assessment services.
Use a variety of teaching techniques to assist individuals in being successful in their jobs.
Collaborate with the person receiving services, employer, and co‑workers to build positive working relationships.
Complete and submit required documentation, handwritten or electronic.
Identify and implement safeguards at each job site to ensure safety of the person receiving services.
Maintain communication with the person receiving services and their support team, and with the Director of Employment Alliance.
Maintain the privacy of the individual’s personal information in accordance with HIPAA, including documentation storage during non‑working hours.
Attend all scheduled training required by Heritage Christian Services and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and implement new procedures as communicated by the Director of Employment Alliance.

ACCES VR: Complete required trainings as outlined in the CRS Guidelines. Core Rehabilitation Services | Adult Career and Continuing Education Services | NYS Education Department.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in education, human services, or a business‑related field strongly preferred; minimum of high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience. Leadership experience is desirable.
Valid driver’s license that meets Heritage Christian Services’ motor‑vehicle record standards and reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to work a rotation of shifts, including flexibility with schedules, is required.
Ability to work independently is required.
Experience working with diverse populations is highly desirable; experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
Effective communication skills to support individuals’ growth and development are required.
