Develop strong mobile machine expertise through research, testing and analyzing agricultural, construction, material handling, turf and specialty machines. Work with the technical sales team to evaluate customer specifications, contributing to technical proposals that lead to new business, responding to technical requests. Provide technical training, evaluate product applications and document activities; select and specify DPS products, ensuring conformance to component application requirements and machine performance expectations. Design system control architecture, logic and parameters to meet safety, performance and life requirements. Develop and propose innovative proof‑of‑concept application software solutions (PLUS+1). Research, develop, analyze and test alternate machine system designs for feasibility, cost, operation and performance in the mobile machine market. Investigate machine problems or component failures and recommend remedial actions, system design changes or alternate components or features. Identify and recommend product design improvements to the DPS component engineering teams. What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering. 10 years experience designing hydraulic, hybrid and electric off‑highway machine systems, including selection of hydrostatic transmission components, electric DC motors, inverters and circuit design to meet customer specifications for performance and reliability. 10 years experience instrumenting and testing hydrostatic transmissions, hybrid and electric off‑highway machine systems to verify system performance, verify system reliability, or troubleshoot relevant hydraulic, hybrid and electric systems. 10 years experience interacting with customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. 5 years experience managing projects and mentoring junior engineers. 5 years experience with PLUS+1 programming environment to realize control system architecture. 5 years experience with CAN bus and/or other control protocols.
