Essential Job Duties
SSIS / ETL (≈50%)
Design, develop, and maintain automated ETL solutions with Microsoft SSIS (project/deployment model, configurations, parameterization, robust error handling and logging).
Orchestrate data movement between SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake; where appropriate, integrate Azure Data Factory/Informatica and file automation (e.g., GoAnywhere/MuleSoft).
Implement CDC/incremental patterns; tune performance via staging/partitioning, set-based SQL, and workload scheduling to meet SLAs.
Follow change management and code migration processes (Azure DevOps/Git); promote from Dev→Test/QA→Prod with auditable approvals.
Troubleshoot build/run failures; create runbooks; monitor and optimize ETL runtimes and job dependencies.
System Analyst (≈50%)
Elicit and document data & reporting requirements (KPIs, filters, delivery cadence) and translate into functional/data specifications.
Produce and maintain S2T mappings, business rules, data dictionaries, and lineage/flow diagrams (current→future state) spanning staging, integration, and presentation/reporting layers.
Define and execute data quality and reconciliation controls (row counts, checksums/hashes, referential integrity, threshold/exception reports); validate loads back to sources (SQL Server/Oracle/mainframe).
Support UAT for data changes/reports (test scenarios, expected results, sign-offs); coordinate remediation and re-tests.
Review database/report performance and suggest alternatives (indexing/partitioning/materialized views, pre-aggregations) to meet SLA and usability goals.
Communicate progress/risks/issues promptly; mentor junior staff; coordinate with SMEs, DBAs, ETL engineers, and reporting teams (Power BI/SSRS).
Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation in SharePoint/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
6+ years required: Experience working in a medium to large information technology environment with increasing responsibility for development, design, and deployment actions.
3+ years required: Knowledge and skill using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
3+ years required: Knowledge and skill using Microsoft Azure DevOps and Git (deployment, version control, project tracking).
5+ years required: Skill with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).
3+ years required: Hands-on experience in RBDMS (Risk Based Data Management) platform.
2+ years required: Knowledge of Oracle databases (with some experience on Oracle 12c).
2+ years required: Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Cloud database services.
2+ years required: Knowledge of database object migration/validation tools.
2+ years required: Knowledge of ETL development, monitoring, batch and/or data processing in an automated scheduled environment.
2+ years required: Knowledge of database structures and theories.
2+ years required: Knowledge of enterprise information management processes and methodologies, relational DBMS, and metadata management.
2+ years required: Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations (PII) relevant to data management and data governance.
2+ years required: General knowledge of technology across all network layers and computer platforms.

5+ years preferred: ETL development and data warehouse monitoring.
