The Challenge We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to take ownership of our collaboration platforms for Slack and related tooling. In this role you will define vision, strategy, roadmap, and successful execution of Slack and its integrations, ensuring it meets the needs of IT Operations, Engineering, Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

What You’ll Take On

Vision & Strategy:

Develop and champion a clear product vision and strategy for Slack and its integrations, aligning with broader Technology Enablement goals.

Backlog Management & Prioritization:

Own and manage the product backlog, creating and prioritizing user stories, epics, and features based on business value.

Requirements Gathering & Definition:

Collaborate across IT (Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Application Development) and business units to gather and document detailed requirements for Slack features, integrations, automation, and reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Serve as primary point of contact for all Slack‑related matters, facilitating regular communication and feedback to align evolving user needs.

Data Integrity & Governance:

Work with data stewards and technical teams to establish and enforce governance policies and processes for Slack usage, retention, and eDiscovery.

User Adoption & Training:

Develop and support training materials and adoption strategies to ensure effective use of Slack and its integrations.

Integration Management:

Oversee Slack integration with key IT systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Grafana, DLP).

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor Slack performance, identify improvement areas, and drive initiatives to enhance functionality and value.

Agile Practices:

Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) with engineering and operations teams responsible for Slack.

Reporting & Analytics:

Define reporting requirements to provide insights into the IT environment and demonstrate Slack’s value.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

2+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role focused on technical collaboration products.

3+ years as an Engineer, Architect, or similar role across Infrastructure, Development, Security, etc.

Strong understanding of software development concepts, data models, and discovery processes.

Experience working with vendors and negotiating contracts to deliver high‑value features.

Proven ability to translate business requirements into refined user stories and acceptance criteria.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Great to Have

Familiarity with Slack Enterprise Grid or a Slack administration/development certification.

Experience with Slack’s APIs and SDKs.

Knowledge of scripting or query languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis.

Experience in a similar size organization (≈7,000 employees).
