The Maintenance Lead plays a critical role in fostering a culture that prioritizes safety, reliability, talent development, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This position is accountable for ensuring stable and reliable plant operations. Reports to

Denver Site Leader; part of the Plant Leadership Team. Span of Control

The Denver Roofing and Asphalt plant has approximately 135 employees. The Maintenance Lead will lead a team of about 13 hourly employees. Job Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

Model and uphold Owens Corning’s Safety Stand, creating a culture where safety is a core value. Develop and implement risk assessments and safe work plans for critical tasks. Lead safety initiatives to achieve zero incidents and recordable injuries. Train employees to perform roles safely and effectively. Participate in self‑inspections and incident investigations, recommending corrective actions. Plant Maintenance Strategy

Develop and execute the plant maintenance strategy aligned with business goals. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and overall plant performance. Build and execute a people strategy focused on talent development and engagement. Manage the maintenance budget, including labor, repairs, and capital replacements. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements that reduce waste, costs, and enhance productivity. Maintenance Operations

Drive continuous improvement in safety, housekeeping, and operational discipline. Lead the department toward best-in-class safety and equipment performance. Ensure effective deployment of employee and labor relations practices. Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs and technologies. Develop and execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability Work Process (RWP) plans. Talent Development

Build and lead effective teams that are aligned on goals and foster a winning mindset. Create an inclusive environment encouraging active listening and mutual respect. Communicate clearly across the plant to provide necessary context and direction. Ensure team members possess required skills and resources to perform safely. Provide coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement. Attract, develop, and retain top talent, building bench strength for future leadership. Job Requirements

All other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 5 years of industrial manufacturing/maintenance assignments. Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering, Science, Operations or Business. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong focus on safety and people engagement. Experience leading RWP and TPM (preferred). Excellent listening, team building, and communication skills. Strong process, engineering, and technical abilities. Business and financial acumen. Capital project execution. Continuous improvement mindset. High energy and stamina. About Owens Corning
