Job Overview
As the Casting Manager, you will be responsible for discovering, evaluating, and managing acting talent worldwide for DramaBox’s English-language short drama productions. You will collaborate with creative, production, marketing, and legal teams to ensure the right talent is matched to each project, maintaining a diverse and high-quality actor pool.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and expand a global database of actors and industry contacts.
Identify and evaluate acting talent based on performance ability, screen presence, and project fit.
Provide casting suggestions and shortlists for multiple short drama projects.
Negotiate contracts and schedules with agents, managers, and legal representatives.
Stay current with global acting trends and discover emerging talent in key markets.
Collaborate closely with producers and production companies to ensure creative alignment.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a Casting Director, Casting Associate, or Talent Manager.
Strong network of industry contacts and proven experience in international casting.
Deep understanding of acting techniques, performance evaluation, and on-camera presence.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred; additional languages are a plus.
Passion for discovering new talent and building a global creative community.
