About the Role We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer to build, customize, and maintain our e-commerce platform. This person will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and the operations team to deliver high quality, scalable, performant, and secure storefronts.
Responsibilities
Develop and enhance storefront features using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C / B2B as applicable), including customizations and integrations.
Work with Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA), ISML templates, controllers, pipelines, and demandware scripts (or JS equivalents) to build a rich user experience.
Integrate external systems: payment gateways, order management, ERP, marketing tools, analytics.
Ensure code quality with unit tests / integration tests, code reviews, best practices in version control (Git).
Participate in release cycles, staging & production deployments, and support post-go-live maintenance.
Collaborate with UX / UI to ensure responsive, accessible, mobile-friendly designs.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues (bugs, performance, security) in a timely manner.
Stay up to date with new SFCC features, updates, and best practices, and propose improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of
3 years
of experience working with
Salesforce Commerce Cloud
(SFCC), ideally in B2C/B2B commerce.
Experience with Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA) or similar pattern.
Good knowledge of REST APIs / OCAPI / SCAPI (or equivalent) for integrations.
Familiar with Git and version control workflows.
Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JS, responsive design.
Understanding of e-commerce fundamentals: carts, product catalogs, checkout flows, promotions, pricing.
Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Certification in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (e.g., B2C Commerce Developer).
Experience in performance optimization (caching, CDN, load testing).
Experience with headless commerce or decoupled frontend architectures.
Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem: Order Management, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines / deployment automation.
Knowledge of security best practices, PCI compliance.
Soft Skills
Strong collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams (design, product, backend).
Attention to detail, quality focus.
Ability to work in an agile environment; responsive to changes.
