Overview
MCR Safety, a Bunzl Company, is seeking a highly capable and experienced SAP Solutions Architect to serve a dual role focused on delivering business value through SAP Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP) configuration and process optimization. Approximately 50% of the role involves serving as a Senior Business Analyst in the SAP MM/PP modulesconfiguring, supporting, and enhancing SAP MM/PP processes. The remaining 50% focuses on acting as a functional business process consultant and liaison between business and IT?leading projects, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving process standardization that aligns with SAP best practices and organizational goals. Will need to be able to go into the office in Collierville, TN daily. You will foster an environment of agile technologies that imagine, develop, and launch solutions with transformative power. Responsibilities Serve as the designated functional expert on SAP Materials Management (MM), SAP Production Planning (PP) and provide primary support, configuration, and troubleshooting. Meet with stakeholders to define business and operations requirements and translate them into SAP solutions. Prototype and configure new features and functions in SAP MM/PP to enhance operational workflows and efficiency. Support full lifecycle implementation including planning, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization of SAP MM/PP solutions. Lead and/or support SAP?related projects across business functions, serving as the liaison between business units and IT. Develop system design proposals, process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for functional and technical teams. Coordinate and perform end?to?end testing including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure effective documentation of business requirements, configuration, and training materials. Train users and provide post?go?live support to ensure adoption and ongoing process effectiveness. Collaborate cross?functionally to ensure integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, FI, WM).
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field; Masters degree preferred. 10+ years experience in software engineering, process management or supporting a technical environment. Strong SAP MM/PP configuration and process knowledge. Ability to analyze and document business processes and translate them into SAP solutions. Familiarity with integration points across SAP modules (PP, SD, FI, WM). Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with both technical and non?technical stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently or as part of a team. Experience with project execution and change management within ERP environments. Ability to conduct system testing and end?user training.
Preferred Skills
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps. Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) or CPI integrations. Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile). Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics?based environments.
