Desktop Application Developer
for a
Contract
with a client in
Urbana, MD . Candidates must have deep expertise in Delphi development to effectively design, test, and deploy multi-tiered desktop applications.
Rate Range:
$44/hour to $45/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy multi-tiered desktop applications using Delphi within an agile development environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Functional Analysts, QA, and other developers to ensure software solutions meet customer needs.
Resolve defects and performance issues, including memory leaks and scalability challenges, to maintain application stability.
Enhance and maintain existing applications, particularly pension and retirement systems, by adding new functionality and improving legacy code.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning, and build planning to align development efforts.
Utilize tools like Jira for issue tracking, status updates, and workflow management throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of strong experience in Delphi software development.
Proven ability to resolve performance, memory leak, and scalability issues in desktop applications.
Expertise in Delphi development, including converting legacy Delphi 7 code to 64-bit Delphi XE8.

Pay Details:
$44.00 to $45.00 per hour
