Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio Developer with deep experience in Ab Initio MDH, DQ, and Hadoop integration. The ideal candidate will design and optimize complex data workflows, build scalable ETL solutions, and support enterprise‑level data lake and data warehouse environments with performance and reliability in mind.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Ab Initio tools and components.
Build and manage Ab Initio Graphs, Plans, and scheduling workflows for large‑scale data processing.
Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources into enterprise data platforms.
Implement data validation and quality rules leveraging Ab Initio DQ and MDH.
Work with Hadoop (Cloudera) ecosystems to support large‑volume data processing.
Create and maintain metadata models within Ab Initio Metadata Hub.
Perform performance tuning, debugging, and optimization of ETL workflows.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and platform engineers to ensure robust, scalable solutions.
Support data governance and standardization initiatives through effective metadata management.
Must‑Have Skills:
8+ years of hands‑on ETL design and development experience using Ab Initio.
Strong knowledge of Ab Initio Metadata Hub (MDH) and Data Quality (DQ) checks.
2+ years of experience in Data Integration projects on Hadoop platforms (preferably Cloudera).
Expertise in Ab Initio EME, GDE, and parallelism techniques—data, pipeline, and component parallelism.
Deep understanding of Metadata Hub metamodel and its analytical capabilities.
Experience in interfacing with heterogeneous data sources such as Oracle, Snowflake, Hadoop, Hive, and AWS S3.
Proven ability to parse XML, JSON, and YAML documents, including handling hierarchical data models.
