About Sola Sola is building the agentic automation platform powering the enterprises of tomorrow. Founded in 2023 by Jessica Wu and Neil Deshmukh, we’ve raised $21M in total funding from a16z and Conviction, with additional backing from Y Combinator (S23) and the founders of Dropbox, Zoom, Zapier, Scale, and more. In just one year, Sola has been adopted by Fortune 500s, top U.S. law firms, and leading private enterprises across finance, healthcare, legal, and supply chain.
Our team in NYC includes industry leaders who have built and scaled world‑class businesses, contributed to top quant funds, crypto projects, and research labs—and been founders themselves.
We’ve reimagined enterprise process automation to safely and effortlessly apply foundation AI models across web and desktop interfaces at scale. Our work spans AI‑enabled error correction algorithms, agentic workflow orchestration, Markov decision models with AI inputs, and AI desktop infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Own systems that automate repetitive work across hundreds of browser and desktop platforms, handling concurrency, reliability, and observability at scale.
Collaborate with our CTO and ML research partners to bring state‑of‑the‑art agentic workflows into production.
Architect and scale backend infrastructure to power our visual workflow builder – a Figma‑style interface used daily by non‑technical ops teams.
Design and implement services that integrate with cutting‑edge AI models to generate workflows, parse documents, and drive adaptive execution logic.
Deploy and manage services in Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance in production environments.
Qualifications
Fluency in Typescript and Python (both required).
Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (designing, deploying, and scaling production services).
4+ years of experience building scalable distributed systems at enterprise scale.
Prior experience at an early‑stage startup.
Proven ability to collaborate with engineers and PMs to break down high‑level goals into shippable milestones.
Must be available in NYC (we’ll cover relocation).
Nice to have: prior experience with distributed workflow orchestration such as Cadence or Temporal.io.
Benefits
In‑person work in NYC.
Competitive salary + meaningful equity.
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision health care.
401(k) with smart savings options.
Daily meals, dinners, and snacks.
Up to 4 weeks flexible PTO.
Exciting opportunity to shape the future of automation and work with a world‑class NYC team.
