What You'll Own Financial Operations Leadership You'll be the driving force behind accurate, efficient month-end processes and financial reporting. This isn't just number crunching. It's strategic accounting that informs business decisions and sets the standard for financial excellence.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead the complete month-end close cycle: journal entries, accruals, and comprehensive account reconciliations
Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) with precision and clarity
Maintain general ledger accuracy through proactive reconciliation and adjustments
Monitor daily cash activity and support cash flow tracking
Technical Expertise
Oversee fixed asset accounting, including GL reconciliation and depreciation schedules
Analyze complex accounts (insurance, debt, leases) to ensure reporting accuracy
Review IOLTA trust accounts monthly with meticulous attention to compliance
Prepare annual budgets for depreciation, insurance, taxes, and accounting operations
Audit & Compliance
Support external audits with well-organized schedules and documentation
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies through regular reviews
Maintain the highest standards of financial integrity and regulatory compliance
Process Innovation
Identify inefficiencies and champion process improvements
Build scalable accounting procedures as the organization evolves
Contribute to financial analysis and strategic projects that drive business growth
What You Bring Required Background:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience:
2-7 years in public accounting or corporate financial reporting, compliance, and audit
Pedigree:
Big 4 or large regional CPA firm background
Technical Skills:
Expert-level Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Aderant and Sage experience a strong plus
CPA highly preferred
