Electrical Controls / Automation Engineer

$100,000 – $115,000 per year + bonus
We’re hiring an
Electrical Controls Engineer
to support key manufacturing operations at two advanced production facilities in Carrollton, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands‑on role in troubleshooting, optimizing, and programming state‑of‑the‑art automation systems within a high‑tech, growth‑focused environment. Candidates must have Siemens‑specific programming experience to be considered.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot and resolve machine control system issues; recommend and implement improvements for efficiency and quality
Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications (Siemens experience required)
Participate in the installation, commissioning, and programming of new equipment
Design and update schematic drawings using AutoCAD
Apply working knowledge of power distribution, networks, drives, and field control devices
Collaborate cross‑functionally with operators, technicians, engineers, and plant leadership
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BSEET also accepted)
3+ years of experience in electrical/automation engineering within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Siemens programming (programming from scratch is a big!)
Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, ladder logic, HMI development, and control panel hardware
Strong communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset
Bonus: PMP certification or experience in the wire & cable, automotive, or similar heavy‑machinery industries
Schedule: M–F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible as needed)
Travel: ~10% (domestic)
Relocation: Yes
Work Attire: Work casual with safety gear (steel‑toed boots stipend provided)
