$95,000 - $110,000 per year. Primary Function:
Lead and manage custom millwork production operations within our newly established Center of Excellence, driving operational synergies, motivating and inspiring teams, developing talent, and implementing process improvements to achieve excellence in wood production. Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the custom millwork production site, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer specifications. Lead the integration of wood production into a single-site Center of Excellence, evaluating operational synergies and aligning resources for optimal performance. Establish and adjust procedures to meet production goals and exceed budget objectives. Ensure accurate daily reporting and documentation, including departmental reports, attendance, staffing, and yields. Inspire and motivate production teams to achieve high performance, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor, coach, and develop talent across the team, providing consistent feedback and career development opportunities. Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently. Promote and enforce safety initiatives and maintain a zero-accident culture. Identify and implement process optimization opportunities including throughput, waste reduction, product quality, and ergonomics. Lead planning and execution of continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Monitor improvement metrics and respond to unfavorable trends with corrective actions. Drive the development and implementation of KPIs and performance metrics to monitor production efficiency and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to meet or exceed location goals and support strategic business objectives. Champion the Center of Excellence vision by aligning team efforts with long-term operational strategy. Education & Certifications
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or relevant college coursework preferred. Experience & Skills
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a custom millwork or manufacturing setting. Minimum three (3) years’ leadership experience with proven ability to motivate teams and develop talent. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, ISO standards, and Lean/Six Sigma principles. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in computer and math skills. Demonstrated initiative, urgency, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements
Ability to work non-standard or extended shifts including nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. Ability to move throughout shift. EEO Statement:
