Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
Title : Manufacturing Engineer
Location : Battle Creek, MI and Litchfield, MI
Duration : Full Time with benefits
Salary : Battle Creek – $85K and Litchfield – $95K
Schedule : Monday‑Friday (40‑45 hours a week), occasionally Saturdays (morning). Core hours 9 am‑3 pm.
Essential Functions :
Designs, develops and implements production line layout or tooling/machine design or design modifications as required to produce products and reduce injuries.
Investigates and resolves production line (work centers) or tooling design problems.
Determines cost of implementing new product online layout.
Develops work methods to improve production operator efficiency through quality tracking, interviews with associates, review of production line performance and training.
Identifies and selects vendors to order tooling/equipment, fixtures, and supplies and recommends orders as necessary.
Performs tracking of production line performances.
Coordinates transportation and sample builds.
Secondary Functions :
Serves on various committees as needed (backup for Sr. Manufacturing Engineer).
Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications :
4‑year degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technology or equivalent field.
3‑5 years’ experience in production line or tooling/machine design.
Knowledge of blueprints, process analysis, and drafting terminology.
Knowledge of broad machine shop and basic accounting principles.
