Job Description AECOM Hunt seeks an immediate Construction Estimator for our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities
Work with the company’s estimating systems and processes.
Acquire a basic understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts, and principles for preparing estimates.
Recognize how various processes and project actions may impact estimates.
Under supervision, prepare bid packages, conceptual estimates, and analyses of subcontractor bids for projects.
Perform duties with limited complexity under direct supervision, such as material take‑offs and compilation of historical data.
Assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments, including the Estimate Plan.
Minimum Qualifications
BS/BA in Construction Management, Finance, Engineering or related field.
2 years of construction estimating experience or equivalent education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience estimating material, labor, equipment costs from drawings and specifications.
Experience developing conceptual estimates.
Experience in high‑rise, hospitality, sports/stadium, airport estimating.
Experience with quantity takeoffs to determine material amounts.
Prior estimation negotiation experience.
Experience in risk assessment, including market changes and unforeseen conditions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
Exposure to Bluebeam Revu, Takeoff or other estimating software.

Compensation Offered annual rate: $74,499.54 to $137,824.15, based on education, experience, and location.
