Overview

This role is a Sr. SDET Automation Engineer at Yubico. The base pay range provided by Yubico is $138,000.00 / yr - $155,000.00 / yr; actual pay will be based on skills and experience. Responsibilities

Building and maintaining robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks (e.g., for UI, API, and integration testing). Converting existing manual test cases into automated test suites using tools such as PowerShell, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. Performing manual, exploratory, and regression testing when appropriate. Developing and executing API and backend tests using tools like Postman or REST Assured. Contributing to and improving CI / CD pipelines. Collaborating with software and hardware engineers, product managers, and other QA professionals to define test strategies and requirements. Writing detailed test cases and scenarios using data-driven or behavior-driven (BDD) approaches. Tracking, triaging, and reporting bugs and test coverage metrics to improve overall system quality. Helping to integrate automation in hardware / software systems, including USB interfaces, motion control, and embedded components. Influence best practices for quality engineering, shift-left testing, and test automation adoption. Basic Qualifications

Experience with both automated and manual testing. 5+ years of experience in an SDET role. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Significant experience with software QA methodologies and tools in a development environment. Experience automating test cases for a complex system. Experience with automated testing tools. Able to thoroughly define and concisely document bugs. Significant experience with both white-box and black-box testing. Experience testing products that encompass both software and hardware components. Able to document clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Ability to work with modern programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Python). Bonus Skills

Led or contributed to building a new test framework. Optimizing CI / CD pipelines. Experience with USB interfaces, motion control, and embedded software. Understanding of Agile / Scrum development principles. Experience with authoring GUI test automation. Familiarity with code coverage analysis. Experience with reliability / stress testing.
