Product Engineering Manager – Grand Prairie, TX

Transform the everyday with us! Responsibilities
Manage a team of engineers executing Engineering Change Notices to maintain and improve product designs, mainly Panelboards and Switchboards.
Review and approve ECNs regarding compliance with UL and NFPA 70 (NEC). Submit projects to UL detailing additions and changes, including test plans if required.
Serve as the UL and NFPA 70 (NEC) subject‑matter expert for the Apparatus R&D teams.
Act as the Product Safety Committee Chair for Panelboards, Switchboards, and Low‑Voltage Switchgear (LVS).
Support internal and external customers with product and technical expertise as needed.
Travel required will be less than 15%.
Ideal Candidate
Qualified Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) for UL 891 and UL 50/50E.
Voting member on relevant NFPA 70 (NEC) code panels.
Member of NEMA group involved with panelboards, Switchboards, and Enclosures.
UL 891 CANENA representative.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in the Electrical Distribution products industry.
10+ years of experience in product design or research and development.
Knowledge of UL 67, UL 891 and NFPA 70 (NEC).
Prior experience with codes and standards organizations including UL, CSA, NOM, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, or others.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior management experience.
Ability to prioritize and bring clarity to competing viewpoints and options.
Working knowledge of manufacturing systems including routings, bill of materials, sheet metal punching and bending, painting, plating, and assembly.
Familiarity with UL 1558 and ANSI/IEEE C37.20.1.
Knowledge of CAD tools (Creo and Teamcenter).
Proficient with MS‑Office applications.
Master’s in Engineering Management or Business Administration (MSEM or MBA).

Salary:
$135,303 – $231,948 (15% target bonus).
