Position Summary The IT Director of Shared Services will lead strategic and operational management of core infrastructure support functions, with a specialized focus on disaster recovery, ransomware and cyber incident response, and monitoring operations. This role requires a visionary leader with exceptional communication and team‑building skills, capable of presenting strategic initiatives to senior leadership and quantifying success through KPIs and performance metrics. A key expectation is to optimize disaster recovery response through automation and AI.
Position Description
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
Lead response and recovery efforts for ransomware and other cyber threats.
Conduct risk assessments and update recovery plans based on evolving threats.
Collaborate with external vendors for advanced threat detection and response.
Implement automation and AI to streamline recovery workflows and enhance resilience.
Oversee monitoring operations across:
Dynatrace – observability and performance analytics
Foglight – database and infrastructure monitoring
SolarWinds – network and system health tracking
Ensure proactive alerting, incident detection, and resolution across shared services.
Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platform, ServiceNow for operational efficiency.
Lead and optimize the following teams:
Batch Support (Tidal, IWA)
Infra L1
Service Delivery & Reporting
Disaster Recovery
Ensure alignment with enterprise goals and operational excellence.
Present strategic plans and reports on initiatives to senior leadership.
Define and track KPIs and metrics to evaluate service performance and recovery effectiveness.
Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
10+ years of IT leadership experience, with emphasis on disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and monitoring operations.
Proven success in managing large-scale IT projects and cross-functional teams.
Deep understanding of infrastructure resilience, cyber threat and ransomware mitigation.
Proficiency in Dynatrace, Foglight, and SolarWinds platforms.
Experience implementing automation and AI in disaster recovery and incident response.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong team‑building capabilities and collaborative leadership style.
Demonstrated ability to quantify success through KPIs and performance metrics.
Compensation Pay Disclosure Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Annual base salary: $145,470 - $192,590 USD
