Shift:
Rotating 12-hour shifts, 4 on / 4 off. Swing from days to nights every month.
Pay:
$30.64 per hour

What You'll Be Contributing
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
Clean plant areas as directed including shoveling cement, clinker, and raw material spills around machinery and plant facilities; sweep dirt; pick up trash; clean drainage ditches.
Utilize hand and power tools such as shovels, wheelbarrows, hammers, pliers, drills in building and grounds work assignments.
Operate motorized vehicles such as pickup truck, front-end loader, forklift, dump truck for material transport duties.
Operate motorized sweeper, vacuum, and water trucks to contain dust in outdoor and indoor areas of the plant.
Perform general landscaping and grounds maintenance duties as assigned.
Learn about plant operations including the process flow of raw materials, gases, and finished products. Assist as needed in performing maintenance, production, and/or shipping duties as relief for workers in other departments.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To Succeed In This Position, You Will Need
Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with and participation in initial and annual training for ISO 14001 requirements.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to properly operate mobile equipment (once trained).
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Capability to perform tasks requiring walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, working in awkward positions and confined spaces, and handling materials up to 75 pounds.
Work to be performed in a shop environment with outdoor exposure, mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, noise, and potentially exposure to heights up to 250 feet.
Position is classified as safety-sensitive per WA Senate Bill 5123.
What to Expect in a Cement Environment Work will be performed in a shop environment and outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations up to 250 feet and all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
