Material Planner - Aerospace Manufacturing - Camarillo, CA Salary:

$77,000 – $105,000 per year (guideline only).

Location:

Camarillo, CA – on-site. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Camarillo, CA.

About the Role:

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division seeks a Material Planner to generate, maintain, and follow up on production schedules for our Camarillo Aerospace manufacturing facility, ensuring supply of components to customers on quantity and time. This key position leads actions and follow‑up meetings with various departments to achieve KPI targets (Service, Quality, Safety, Inventory, Flex Productivity).

Eligibility:

What You’ll Do

Schedule and coordinate the flow of work within or between departments in manufacturing and between plants to expedite production and material flow.

Establish priorities for specific customer orders, and revise schedule according to work order specifications, and availability or capability of employees, parts, materials, machines, and equipment.

Plan and allocate materials based on prescribed methodology and provide timely delivery to customers.

Ensure that materials, supplies, and services are provided by supplier in support of internal and external customer requirements.

Generate work orders and release them to the shop floor according to production plan.

Generate action plans and follow‑up focused on achieving results (Close Actions).

Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay to meet target deliver.

Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials constraints.

Monitor work orders to ensure they will be finished on time.

Prepare and submit status and performance reports.

Collaborate with production, tool room, purchasing, OPEX, quality control, warehouse, and other staff to achieve the results.

Develop and implement best practices, and procedures, and select alternative methods where appropriate to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through service, productivity, and cycle time reduction goals.

Ensure stock levels are kept within target.

Ensure KPI’s are met for assigned area.

Level production based on constraints and as needed to meet the customer’s expectations.

Follow‑up on quality, manpower and other issues proactively to meet production schedule targets.

On a weekly basis each planner must re‑schedule past‑due orders per capacity and constraints.

Drive part deliveries to minimize part shortages.

Analyze inventory levels and meet days on hand (DOH) objectives.

Participate in Annual Physical Inventory and assist with cycle count, inventory adjustments, and root cause analysis to prevent inventory errors.

Participate in Eaton continuous improvement programs and actively seek continuous improvement opportunities.

Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

1+ years’ experience with material planning, inventory control related functions within a manufacturing production environment. Will consider recent graduate with applicable degree and/or internship experience.

No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Camarillo, CA will be considered for this position.

This position requires access to export‑controlled information. Preferred Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in Material Planning in a manufacturing environment.

Comprehensive knowledge of materials planning and inventory control processes.

Thorough knowledge of material planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.

Understanding of Supply Chain Management operations concept surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction concepts and tool sets as they relate to material management.

Previous Aerospace experience.

Proven experience in Inventory management.

Previous SAP / ERP Knowledge.

MRP and Planning parameters knowledge.

APICS / CPIM Certified a plus.

Demand and Capacity Planning.

Leadership skills with effective English communication skills.

Bi‑lingual Spanish‑ English communication skills.
