Position Summary SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced and
bilingual Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager
to support a high-profile
data center construction project
in Sterling, Virginia. This position requires a
hands‑on safety professional with a minimum of 7 years of construction safety experience
and a
Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) credential
(e.g., ASP, CSP, CHST, or STSC). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and technical skills in overseeing EHS compliance, training, and incident prevention on large‑scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for all site operations.
Conduct and document daily EHS inspections and audits.
Deliver bilingual (English/Spanish) project‑specific safety orientations and trainings.
Participate in and facilitate the Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) process.
Coordinate with trade partners on crane activities and high‑risk operations.
Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective/preventative actions.
Collaborate closely with project leadership to promote an injury‑free work culture.
Collect and analyze leading and lagging indicators to identify trends and drive proactive improvements.
Review and assist in developing EHS plans, procedures, and risk assessments.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with site‑specific EHS requirements.
Verify that all craft workers are trained and qualified for their assigned tasks.
Partner with trade contractor EHS professionals and lead project safety leadership meetings.
Serve as liaison with the client’s risk management and corporate EHS teams.
Deliver toolbox talks and specialized safety modules as needed.
Support and help manage a positive reinforcement and recognition program.
Preferred Minimum Requirements
7+ years of EHS experience
in construction, preferably in data center or industrial projects.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
(required).
BCSP certification
(e.g., ASP, CSP, CHST, STSC) required.
OSHA 500/510 certification preferred.
Bachelor’s degree (BS/MS) in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital safety management tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse field teams.
Experience managing safety on complex, multi‑contractor projects.
