Overview
The Clinical Research Nurse will support on-going multi-year projects related to electronic cigarette use. The primary focus will be on the execution of study protocols by performing clinical tasks such as bio-sample collection (saliva, urine, blood), preparation, and storage, as well as participant care insofar as adverse event tracking and contingency planning. Additional responsibilities relate to research study management, including submitting IRB and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) applications and obtaining approval, participant recruitment, education, and oral and written communication; weekly updates at team meetings, data collection, storage, preparation, and analysis. The Clinical Research Nurse will be expected to be our team’s local authority on the medical aspects of study protocol execution and will be relied upon for broader team communication of medical concerns and also decision making. Conducting and supporting participant visits (data and bio-sample collection). Reviewing study procedures to ensure compliance with GCP and general good medical practice. Participant recruitment including outreach and candidate tracking. Required Qualifications
NCLEX-RN certification required (registered nurse). 3 years nursing experience with at least one of the three years as a clinical research nurse. Computer literacy: Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Slack. PLEASE NOTE: The individual hired for this position will be required to have a pre-employment Motor Vehicle check, and the Motor Vehicle Report must clear RIT's Safe Driving Policy. Experience with regulatory policy regarding tobacco products. Minimum Education

Mechanical Engineering is one of six departments in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering (KGCOE). Other programs include Electrical, Computer, Biomedical, Chemical and Industrial Engineering.
