Part-Time positions for the 2024-2025 and 2025-26 school years

Part-time, at least .5 FTE or greater (at least 20 hours per week). Specific schedule will be determined based on the needs of the district and in collaboration with the employee, Human Resources, and Building Administration. Salary Schedule:
Commensurate with experience and education
plus 10 percent of the regular teaching salary . Benefits Available for Part-time Certificated Staff: Part-time certificated staff with a .5 FTE or more are eligible to receive full health insurance. District will pay 50% of the percentage it pays for full-time certificated staff. Premium cost will be paid through payroll deductions. Group term life insurance eligibility. Sick leave, personal leave, and bereavement leave provisions are available. Position Purpose:
Screens and assesses students for possible communication disorders. Designs, implements, and collects documentation on the delivery of services to each identified student. Works collaboratively with students, parents, building staff, and other Individual Education Program team members to provide and implement IEP services. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Minimum of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid NE Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid NE DHHS Speech-Language Pathologist license, preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, preferred. Ability to develop positive relationships to promote mutual dignity and respect among students and staff. Excellent attendance record. Professional verification of successful SLP performance and/or clinical externship experience. Knowledge and experience with Augmentative Communication Devices and conducting Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations, preferred. Evidence of the willingness and ability to comply with standards for ethical and professional performance established by the State Board of Education. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication. Ability to effectively use Microsoft Outlook and the student information system. Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and special education students. Essential Performance Responsibilities: Plans for and guides the learning process to help students achieve their program objectives. Continuous assessment and evaluation of progress toward Individual Education Program (IEP) goals. Maintain compliance on all special education procedures and documents. Collaborates with classroom teachers and other service providers to best meet the needs of the individual student. Implements useful diagnostic and progress assessment measures. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials. Maintains open lines of communications with parents, guardians, and staff. Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field. Works collaboratively to achieve the overall purpose of the program and support the District’s vision, aims, and goals. Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Building or Central Office Administrators. Terms of Employment:
