Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656‑bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, use and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist the labor and delivery surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Understand the surgery schedule workflow and be available to meet the needs for room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
NBSTSA or NCCT Certified Surgical Technologist.
High School diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist experience.
