As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Your expertise in operating radiographic equipment will ensure high-quality images are captured while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and ensuring they understand the importance of following instructions. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the overall health outcomes of patients by providing essential diagnostic information.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from a Radiology program.

Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or must obtain within one (1) year of hire date.

BLS certified or must obtain within 30 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

Experience in advanced imaging techniques such as MRI or ultrasound.

Responsibilities

Assist Radiologist during fluoroscopy exams with and without contrast studies, assisting Physicians in surgery and the emergency room, and obtaining routine daily radiographs.

Clinical Instructor responsibilities with the radiology clinical affiliations.

Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other radiographic techniques.

Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.

Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and adhering to safety protocols.

Document and maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results and any relevant patient information.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss imaging results and assist in patient care planning.

Skills The required skills for this position include proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and a strong understanding of imaging techniques, which are essential for producing accurate diagnostic images. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will need to ensure that images are of high quality and that patient safety protocols are followed meticulously. Strong communication skills will be utilized daily to explain procedures to patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team. Additionally, organizational skills will help you manage patient records and documentation efficiently. Preferred skills, such as experience with advanced imaging modalities, will enhance your ability to contribute to a wider range of diagnostic services.
