Clinical Documentation Integrity Manager - Remote Garnet Health Medical Center, a leading integrated health system in Hudson Valley, invites an experienced CDI leader to join our team remotely. The role focuses on improving clinical documentation, managing DRG denials, and ensuring high‑quality medical record data across our hospitals.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee day‑to‑day operations of the CDI department and DRG denials appeals process.

Develop, implement, and evaluate CDI policies, procedures, and documentation improvement initiatives for all Garnet Health hospitals.

Ensure accurate and complete medical record documentation, assessing medical necessity for admission and continued stay.

Coordinate with outcomes managers, coding denial coordinators, and third‑party payers to craft compelling, evidence‑based denials appeals.

Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide constructive feedback and training on documentation best practices.

Monitor and report CDI performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory goals.

Qualifications Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Minimum Experience:

Five (5) years of progressive experience in an acute‑care hospital (≥100 beds).

Five (5) years of CDI industry experience.

Strong knowledge of ICD‑10 diagnosis coding, CPT coding guidelines, and DRG reimbursement.

Exceptional communication skills to engage physicians and clinical professionals.

Knowledge of DRG and coding appeal processes.

Required Certification/Registration:

Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS).

Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

Additional Requirements Travel to multiple facilities is required. Hybrid work environment (remote + onsite).

Compensation & Eligibility USD 80,106–100,133 per year. Fully remote from Pennsylvania, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas.
