Overview
Construction Labor Law (NY Labor Law) Litigation Associate (Attorney) at Oak Ridge Legal Search – NYC office. We are working with a prominent regional firm seeking a Litigation Associate with at least three years of experience to join their New York City office. Salary range:
$135,000.00 / yr - $175,000.00 / yr. This range is provided by Oak Ridge Legal Search. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities
Represent and defend clients in NY Labor Law matters (Sections 200, 240, and 241) and construction and general liability litigation. Manage matters from inception to settlement or trial, including drafting memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, and briefs. Research construction labor law and personal injury issues; collaborate with senior attorneys to devise defense strategies. Prepare client reports, including deposition reports, medical record analyses, case analyses, and case valuations. Manage discovery (including electronic discovery); conduct and defend depositions; coordinate with and work with expert witnesses. Attend court appearances and participate in trial preparation, courtroom proceedings, mediation, and arbitration. Qualifications
Experience with New York State Court practice; Federal Court practice is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong research and writing abilities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. New York Bar admission required; New Jersey Bar admission a plus. Professional environment and benefits
