is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) in San Diego, CA. This position is available for 1st shift. Position Responsibilities
Level 2: Assists with audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products. Documents audit and assessment results. Inspects or verifies less complex products for compliance. Monitors supplier quality related activities and reports issues. Level 3: Plans and conducts audits and assessments of suppliers’ systems, processes and products. Documents and reports audit and assessment results. Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements. Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work. Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives. Resolves routine issues and concerns. Hybrid Work
: This is a hybrid position; candidates must be able to work from home and/or supplier locations as assigned. The selected candidate will be supporting suppliers in the San Diego area. Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. The U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience 3+ years of experience in conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits 3+ years of experience with conducting Quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments 1+ years of experience with monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an accredited course of study 5+ years of experience in conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits Experience with the application of improvement methodologies such as Lean, Theory of Constraints and/or Six Sigma to achieve measurable results Experience with Aerospace industry standards: AS9100, AS9102, AS9138, AS9145, etc. Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools Experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams Travel
