The B-52 Development Chief Engineer's Office is looking for a
Senior Project Engineer (Prime Engineer)
to join our team and make an immediate impact on our programs in Oklahoma City. This is a high visibility role with technical assignments that directly support the Program’s top-level goals, initiatives, and challenges. The project engineer provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and USAF customers. You will develop statements of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements. You will work with USAF customers and management to obtain approval, identify and manage changes to statement of work and assess the impact of those changes, and incorporate changes into statements of work. You will have responsibility to coordinate proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules. Directs proposal development to complete the work statement and identifies corrective actions to improve project or team performance. You provide technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans and lead project execution to complete the work statement. You will have opportunities to lead and collaborate with people from all over the world, to create and deliver innovative solutions to complex technical problems. Position Responsibilities
Be the Prime Engineer supporting the B-52 development programs: the Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP). Work as part of an integrated proposal team alongside Program Management, Finance, Scheduling, Pricing and Estimating, Contracts, Supplier Management and other key organizations. Responsible for developing Statement of work break outs by function, ensuring the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) is accurate and allocated to the program teams, and Basis of Estimate (BOE) data is approved and covers the scope of work. Responsible for tracking all identified issues to closure prior to submitting a proposal. Works directly with the USAF customer and executive leadership. Onsite Requirement:
This position will be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK. Security Clearance : This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, and a U.S. Citizenship is required. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 10+ years of experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating statements of work 10+ years of experience representing multiple skill areas, including internal and external resources 10+ years of experience with USG proposals 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating statements of work and proposals on EMD programs 5+ years of experience with Bomber modifications and/or upgrades Ability to travel 10% domestically (there may be short durations with higher travel needs) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers Experience with complex systems development and integration; experience leading project execution to complete the work statement Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (e.g., Earned Value Management, DOORS, CAMEO) Good communication skills and a self-starter who takes initiative Adaptable and able to operate in a dynamic environment to meet objectives on time Certification and/or experience with Mil-Hdbk-516; project management exposure (e.g., PMBOK, ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008) Ability to analyze, understand, organize and communicate complex technical concepts across multiple disciplines Relocation
