About the VPK Program The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year olds, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

Responsibilities

Create!

Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.

Care!

Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.

Call the shots!

Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.

Communicate!

Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.

Qualifications

CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate

Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans

The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.

The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
