Eastern North Carolina has significant health burdens, especially in the rural, low-income, and racial and ethnic minority communities in our region. Many of these issues are brought to light through environmental impacts in our region, such as natural disasters and climate change, as well as through the social determinants of health, which is a major driving force for our teaching, research, and service.
The Department of Public Health is also very collaborative in research and service and works with a number of local, regional, state, and national public health and healthcare agencies. Job Duties The Department of Public Health is currently recruiting part-time, fixed-term teaching faculty at the title(s) of Teaching Instructor, Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, and Teaching Professor. The department is seeking applicants for short-term, fixed-term faculty (.74 FTE or less) for one or more semesters during the upcoming academic year.
Contingent upon the availability of funds Master’s degree in a related field; All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Teaching experience with graduate and doctoral students.
