Acoustic Engineer Principal – Ultra Maritime

Role Overview Lead small‑to‑medium acoustic engineering projects or technical work packages within cost and quality requirements. Coordinate or allocate work with the project or work package and provide technical advice to teams.

Responsibilities

Develop solutions and solve complex acoustic‑related problems to deliver engineering projects on time, on quality, and on budget, directly impacting positive project outcomes.

Develop processes for the team and influence decisions by providing technical advice.

Remain current on trends and emerging technologies and tools.

Train, coach and advise more junior team members.

Estimate engineering packages of work to identify dependencies and ensure the deliverability of assigned work packages.

Include safety, environmental protection and compliance considerations.

Qualifications

Typically, a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 6+ years of experience within a relevant complex engineering environment.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain the relevant security clearance required for the role.

Experience with advanced specialist acoustic systems and underwater / maritime applications preferred.
