Base pay range $240,000.00/yr – $270,000.00/yr

What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a Director of Engineering who can provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams. In this role, you’ll focus on building high‑performing teams, driving execution across complex product surfaces, and partnering closely with cross‑functional leadership to ship world‑class products. You should have experience leading engineering teams at early‑to‑mid‑stage startups, balancing speed with technical rigor, and staying actively involved in the codebase. Ideally, you have spent several years at high‑growth companies and have led product launches from 0 to 1, collaborating closely with product teams.
What You’ll Do
Build & Lead: Stay hands‑on with the codebase while managing and developing multiple engineering teams. Set the technical tone through direct contribution and foster an environment where engineers consistently raise the bar.
Drive Execution: Align engineering efforts to business priorities in partnership with Product and Product Operations.
Set Technical Direction: Guide architectural decisions across teams, maintaining high standards for code quality, infrastructure reliability, and system performance.
Scale: Lead hiring efforts, support career growth across levels, and establish best‑in‑class engineering practices as the team scales.
This Could Be a Great Fit If You...
Have 10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years managing engineers and technical leaders, ideally across multiple teams.
Have led in early‑stage or high‑growth environments and know how to scale both systems and teams.
Have experience working with server‑side languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java) and web frameworks (e.g., Django, Rails).
Are a thoughtful people leader who values clarity, feedback, autonomy, and ownership.
Have worked in multiple cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
Been a technical lead and mentored other engineers on code reviews and best practices.
Have worked at an early stage startup.
