What You Will Do
Drive Technology Thought Leadership.
Lead AI and automation initiatives for end‑to‑end telecom networks, ensuring alignment with long‑term goals and strategic priorities.
Define Network Evolution Architecture.
Champion simplified deployment and orchestration through telco‑specific management architecture frameworks; design and drive the technical vision for advanced AI and automation solutions focused on transforming telecom networks.
Advance the AI portfolio to meet market‑specific needs and develop strategies to secure alignment with Ericsson’s Business Area ownership.
Guide best practices for leveraging Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) frameworks to automate Day 0/1/2 deployments efficiently.
Advise and support Customer Units on intent‑driven programmability, OSS/BSS software design, autonomous network solutions, and customer engagement to achieve differentiated AI portfolio goals.
Deliver subject‑matter expertise on Ericsson’s BCSS portfolio, aligning with ORAN working groups, TM Forum, 3GPP, and other standardization bodies to ensure seamless compatibility and innovation within the broader telecom landscape.
Equip the pre‑sales team with strategic insights and direction to align with customer and organizational goals.
Engage with senior executives, fellow thought leaders, and diverse stakeholders to analyze technology trends and advance strategies for long‑term impact.
Translate cutting‑edge technology advancements into actionable network strategies and recommendations to guide senior executive decision‑making.
What You Bring
BS Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science) and MS/MBA preferred.
8+ years of relevant ICT experience, including strong R&D and product management experience.
Exceptional knowledge and technology strategy expertise in core, OSS, BSS components, FCAPS, ORAN SMO, and cloud orchestration frameworks.
Solid understanding of telecommunications networks, including spectrum holdings, RAN and antenna systems, and broader network architecture.
Exceptional strategic expertise in AI, orchestration, and automation solutions tailored for telco environments.
Proven success in deploying large‑scale management solutions.
Strategic thinker with strong systemic, critical, and strategic thinking; able to identify patterns, alternatives, and propose solutions.
Business acumen with strong financial and business skill set; capacity to turn data analytics into actionable business strategies.
Results‑oriented with excellent planning, execution, and project‑management skills.
Experience developing ecosystem communities.
Familiarity with telecom economics, including cost drivers, investment planning, and regulatory considerations across North America and LATAM.
Experience analyzing emerging telecom technologies such as Open RAN, 5G monetization models, and network automation and AI, turning insights into actionable strategies.
Strong team player working closely with MACS domains, CUs, strategy, and business areas.
Experience presenting Ericsson’s point of view to senior customer executives (CTO/CIO) and their leadership teams, articulating complex topics clearly and impactfully.
Excellent presentation, public speaking, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range depends on location, qualifications, experience, and overall market. The role includes a competitive base salary, an annual bonus based on performance, and eligibility for Ericsson’s 401(k), health and dental plans, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, and a stock purchase plan. Employees receive company credits for health, life, accidental death, and disability coverage, and a 3% company contribution to the 401(k) with a matching program.
Paid time off includes a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, 80 hours of sick time annually, up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave, and 6 weeks of paid parental or adoption leave at 100% pay.
