As a Data Center Estimating Professional and part of our Advanced Manufacturing team, youll serve as a leader and technical expert in estimating, primarily focusing on Data Centers. Youll also work with clients across various sectors including industrial, chemical, pulp & paper, general manufacturing, electric vehicles and pharmaceutical facilities. Youll develop and execute the strategy and plan for estimating activities that support the overall proposal strategy for project requirements, foster relationships with project team members to coordinate deliverables, review and contribute to the interpretation of RFPs or project contracts, help identify risk areas and participate in mitigation planning, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced design and estimating personnel. We operate globally to maximize design, digital technology, and support capabilities through our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teams.

Responsibilities Lead and act as a technical expert in estimating for data center and related projects. Develop and execute estimating strategy and plans that support overall proposal requirements. Coordinate with project team members to ensure timely delivery of estimating deliverables. Review and contribute to the interpretation of requests for proposal or project contracts and help identify risk areas and mitigation strategies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced design and estimating personnel. Collaborate with Jacobs Global Integrated Delivery teams to maximize project outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum of ten years progressive experience with increasing responsibility in an estimating role for industrial project execution or a project management role executing industrial projects in the field.
Estimating and construction experience in mechanical and electrical disciplines in data centers.
Experience with Cost-OS, Sage Estimating (Timberline) or similar estimating software platforms.
Demonstrated understanding of estimating organizational structure and process, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, contingency/risk, knowledge of markup structures and estimate documentation.
Bachelor with a degree in construction management, engineering, project management or related technical field.
Professional experience within the markets of either EV/Batteries or Specialty Chemicals.
Proficient in quantitative risk analysis using software including @Risk and Monte Carlo.
Experience with Aspen CCE or other parametric tools.
Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association.
Benefits and pay Base pay range: $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr. The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $135,075.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Jacobs offers medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, opportunities to purchase company stock, and may include deferred compensation plans. Some roles may be eligible for additional rewards including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, and caregiver leave.
