Location: Seattle, WA. Salary range: $120,100 - $251,600 per year.

Job Description Supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI). Primarily focused on development and support of network fabric and systems through a combination of a deep level understanding of networking at the protocol level coupled with programming skills to support the intensive automation required to operate a production environment. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, this support will include hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.

Preferred Skills

Extensive experience in global routing, backbone, and edge networking.

Strong automation and network troubleshooting skills.

Service provider or cloud-scale physical networking experience.

Excellent documentation and process design abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining high-level objectives and delivery procedures.

Organize project technical milestones and supporting tasks.

Coordinate effort of two or three engineers and advise project/program manager.

Collaborate across teams within same org and serve as technical SME in cross-functional activities.

Decompose high-level architectures into detailed designs and lead development of network solutions.

Serve as Tier2 or specialized escalation point for network events, providing break-fix support for large-scale events.

Act as SME for root cause analysis efforts and develop scripts to automate non-traditional, complex tasks.

Assist in vendor engineering collaboration, product team communication, and technology adoption.

Qualifications

Candidate should have at least

IC4

career level experience in network engineering.

Experience with complex network solutions and automation.

Strong programming and scripting skills.

Excellent communication and technical coaching abilities.
