Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Per Diem / Variable Shift
Job Summary Providence Health & Services is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine examinations under the direction of a physician. The position involves preparing and administering radioactive and non‑radioactive pharmaceuticals, performing calculations, ensuring quality control, calibrating equipment, and monitoring patients.
Key Responsibilities
Perform nuclear medicine examinations for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Prepare patients, administer prescribed radioactive and non‑radioactive pharmaceuticals.
Execute calculations and manipulate data according to established parameters.
Ensure proper preparation, ordering, and handling of radioactive material.
Calibrate equipment and maintain appropriate quality control procedures.
Monitor patients and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education that meets certification, license, or registration requirements for nuclear medicine technologists.
Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist license—either permanent or temporary—upon hire.
National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)—American Heart Association—upon hire.
National Registered Technologist—Nuclear Medicine Technology—within 6 months (180 days) of hire, OR
National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist—Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board—within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
