Staff Software Engineer – Site Reliability

Position Summary We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Staff Site Reliability Engineer to continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of the MarTech and Channel Enablement portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Include
Monitoring and Observability – develop advanced monitoring and telemetry solutions to provide deep visibility into system health and customer experience
Driving Operational Excellence – define and implement best practices for observability, alerting, incident response, and post‑mortems
Performance and Capacity Management – analyze system performance and capacity trends to anticipate growth needs, optimize costs, and maintain SLOs
Mentorship and Technical Leadership – provide guidance and technical mentorship to other engineers, set reliability standards, and influence architectural decisions made across teams
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure operations
3+ years of experience focused on SRE, observability, and building resilient systems
Preferred Qualifications
Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, observability, incident management, and modern DevOps practices
Proven experience managing high‑scale, distributed systems with high availability and low latency requirements
Proficiency with modern observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Tempo, Loki)
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins) with an automation‑first mindset
Experience with SLO/SLI definition, incident management, and post‑mortems to drive continuous improvement
Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science
Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is $130,295.00 – $260,590.00. This range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
