Working under general supervision, the incumbent performs routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout General Diagnostic Radiology, in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. The role requires advanced knowledge of radiologic technology and serves as a diagnostic subject matter expert, assisting other technologists as needed. The incumbent demonstrates and applies knowledge of radiation safety principles, prepares and positions patients for procedures using established protocols, follows protocols specified by the radiologist, enters complex data into the computer system, reviews, verifies, and evaluates images and radiographs to ensure technical and image quality, and ensures compliance with related policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. Effective communication and conflict‑resolution techniques are essential for interactions with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other health‑care members. Other duties as assigned may include troubleshooting equipment and maintaining departmental supplies.

Perform a wide range of radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, including routine, complex, and portable imaging.

Use fixed and portable imaging equipment efficiently and safely.

Prepare and position patients according to established protocols to obtain the highest quality images.

Follow the radiologist’s protocols and maintain accurate, complex data entry into the computer system.

Review, verify, and evaluate images and radiographs to ensure technical and image quality.

Ensure compliance with all related policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians, and all other health‑care members.

Minimum Qualifications

Recent graduate of a school of radiologic technology.

California Radiology Technologist – Radiography (CRT‑R).

California Radiology Technologist for Fluoroscopy (CRT‑F).

Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).

BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of hire date.

At least 18 months of recent experience in a similar role and setting.

Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

Thorough understanding of various radiological systems, including PACS and RIS.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Experience in a similar clinical role and setting.

Special Conditions

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on‑call and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.

Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $119,058 – $119,058 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $57.02 – $57.02. Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
