As an LPN Clinic Lead Nurse, you’ll supervise and mentor LPNs and support staff, oversee patient care and ensure the highest standards are met, collaborate with our medical team to provide efficient and effective care, maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and assist with administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. Triage patient’s immediate medical attention needs and assess each patient for appropriate screenings prior to being seen by the physician. Communicate information to the physician and discuss plan of care before, during, and after visits. Record allergies, vital signs, reason for visit, current medications, social and past medical history, abuse, fall risk, functional assessment and advance directives in the patient’s medical record. Verify physician orders, prepare, document and administer medications and treatments and submit charges as required. Clean, sanitize and reorganize exam rooms after each visit. Ensure test/lab reports are present in the medical record prior to the visit and communicate information between patients and physicians regarding lab/test results, medications, and appointments. Communicate with pharmacies regarding patient medications and ensure prior authorizations are completed in a timely manner. Sort and distribute correspondence and scans into the patient’s medical record after physician review and sign off. Respond to incoming patient messages, chart messages promptly and record all communication in the patient record. Assemble and organize supplies required for procedures and provide privacy and instructions to patients pre- and post-procedure. Assist the physician during procedures, obtain specimens, complete appropriate paperwork, and deliver specimens to designated locations. Order the necessary medications and supplies to ensure adequate stock, store medications properly, and ensure all multi-dose medications are labeled with the date opened, expiration date and nurse’s initials. Ensure all clinic logs are completed daily and maintain the current month log; store previous months for review as required. Check the emergency kit and oxygen monthly and replace the red lock monthly or after use. Store surgical instruments properly and ensure packaging is intact. Identify and report regulatory issues promptly to the Office Manager and submit tickets as needed. Orient new nursing personnel to the clinic and train new hires in clinic processes. Minimum Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse license through the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. 3 years of related experience.
