About the Role The ideal candidate is a highly motivated chemist/biochemist with a proven track record in designing, synthesizing, and optimizing oligonucleotide‑based molecules for clinical development. You will play a key role in the discovery of next‑generation siRNA therapeutics for neurology, neuroendocrinology, and neuroimmunology in a fast‑paced environment.

Your Contributions

Design, synthesize, and characterize novel siRNA oligonucleotides and libraries; collaborate with the Bioconjugation team to generate novel oligo‑based bioconjugates.

Set up internal siRNA synthesis chemistry capabilities in collaboration with the Director of Oligonucleotide Chemistry.

Participate in or lead cross‑functional discovery projects and project teams.

Drive development and incorporation of novel technologies, methods, and oligonucleotide modifications into the Oligonucleotide Chemistry team.

Communicate results, share insights, and collaborate openly to enable project success.

Anticipate potential issues and provide contingencies and resolutions to continuously improve processes.

Aid in evaluating external partnering opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

PhD (preferred) in chemistry or a related field with 7+ years of industry experience and prior managerial/functional experience.

MS/MA degree with 10+ years of similar experience, or BS/BA with 12+ years of experience.

Demonstrated scientific excellence in oligonucleotide/siRNA chemistry with significant patents and/or publications.

Demonstrated delivery of clinical candidate siRNA‑based molecules.

Expert understanding of the drug discovery process for siRNA and developability assays.

Strong knowledge of protein bioconjugation and/or targeted delivery technologies preferred.

Strong work ethic and willingness to collaborate across therapeutic areas.

Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

The annual base salary range is $128,200.00–$185,900.00, with a target bonus of 30% of base and eligibility for an equity‑based long‑term incentive program. Benefits include retirement savings with company match, paid vacation and holidays, caregiver leave, and comprehensive medical coverage.
