Global Engineering Services (GES) is looking for a talented Construction Project Safety Manager to support a growing contractor safety program. This role will further develop, maintain, and oversee the global construction safety contractor management program within the GES Construction, Operations Engineering, and Startup teams. You will work closely with construction, procurement, legal, and execution leaders worldwide to manage the Contractor Pre‑qualification Process, track safety metrics and KPIs across all NA GES projects, oversee 3rd‑party Safety Observers, and provide tools for Project Managers to validate compliance with contract agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the tactical point of contact for the GES Contractor Safety program.
Ensure consistent and accurate execution of the Amazon Contractor Pre‑qualification Process.
Develop and communicate clear contractor safety roles and responsibilities to support construction sites for Project Managers, WHS, Operations Engineering, Startup, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with the Real‑estate legal team and Category Procurement team to maintain current safety requirements in contracts.
Support the daily execution of the safety audit program and engage 3rd‑party companies to complete construction safety audits and meet documentation requirements.
Develop and distribute WHS audit scorecards.
Assist construction project managers in the follow‑up of serious incidents and near misses.
Perform ad‑hoc site visits to conduct observations, support construction managers, or participate in other site‑based activities.
Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly KPI reports and records.
Support Project Manager training and processes related to contract oversight from a safety perspective.
Engage with WHS and Launch managers to provide field support as needed.
Help develop WHS Construction Safety Management and Contract Risk Management (CRM) standards.
Stay informed of changing regulations and industry trends that may influence Amazon Business units, leveraging up‑to‑date safety technologies.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business updates for diverse leadership teams.
Assist project managers in establishing and maintaining effective WHS work relationships with developers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
Travel nationally up to 50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of team management experience
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams
3+ years of delivering cross‑functional projects
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
