Contacts Outside: All personnel from Executive Leadership to interns who may or may not be directly involved with UAS in utility & public safety organizations. Existing and new Gresco customers. Manufacturers of UAS and UAS-related products and software. Strategic industry partners.
Purpose Roles and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Customer Engagement
Respond to inbound calls and emails, triage customer inquiries, and ensure timely, courteous, and accurate follow-up
Prepare and send product quotes for both entry-level and advanced UAS products in collaboration with Account Managers
Manage and track open customer quotes, ensuring proper documentation in Salesforce and internal systems
Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for Account Managers to allow them to focus on strategic activities
Support order processing, payment facilitation, and returns coordination with customers and internal departments
Process Management & Internal Communication
Utilize Salesforce, or similar CRM, to log customer interactions, opportunities, and issue resolution steps
Take ownership of quoting and customer engagement workflows from initiation through completion
Collaborate with teammates to improve efficiency in quoting, order fulfillment, and internal hand-offs
Monitor and update the Product Overview Guide (POG) and work with vendor content and price files to ensure quote accuracy
Assist with customer onboarding and resolution of invoice, order, or system-related issues in coordination with the Customer and Vendor Success Manager
Project Participation & Strategic Contributions
Participate in system improvements and tools integration and marketing asset workflows
Support startup service tasks (e.g., preparing equipment before shipment) when needed
Collaborate with the Solutions Engineering team to deepen product and use-case knowledge
Contribute to marketing and event support by helping prepare materials, flyers, and customer-facing content
Nature and Scope The Inside Sales Associate–UAS serves as a vital customer-facing team member within Gresco's UAS division, supporting sales efforts through quoting, customer communication, order processing, and technical coordination. This role works closely with UAS Account Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Service Technicians to ensure customers receive accurate, timely, and professional service throughout the sales and support lifecycle. This role also contributes to internal process development and acts as a bridge between Gresco’s internal systems and the customer experience.
Education/Knowledge and Experience Required (minimum required job-related knowledge):
High school diploma or equivalent.
Competencies:
Required:
FAA Part 107 Certification (or must obtain within 60 days).
Must be tactful, possess excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to accommodate and engage diverse personalities, and be capable of conveying a positive and professional image while strengthening relationships with internal and external customers.
Must display effective written and oral communication skills for meetings with vendors, customers, management or employees; be able to write legibly as well as read and comprehend material.
Must be adept at learning business software tools.
Must have the ability to prioritize.
Must have proficient typing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint/OneDrive, and modern collaboration platforms, as well as able to perform spreadsheet and database operations
Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with cross-functional team dynamics.
Interest in emerging technologies, including a willingness to learn and apply AI tools to improve workflows and decision-making.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Aviation Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience in inside sales or technical customer service will also be considered.
2+ years in inside sales, customer service, or technical sales support roles.
Experience with Salesforce, Kodaris, or other CRM/ERP platforms.
Familiarity with enterprise UAS product lines (DJI, Autel, Wingtra, Flyability, Censys, etc.).
Exposure to UAS software tools such as AirData, DroneSense, Pix4D, or DJI Terra.
Working Conditions This role will be based at our Forsyth, GA offices and warehouse, with the potential to go hybrid after performance targets have been reached. Normal office and warehouse environment is the most common. Responsibilities may require up to 25% travel, though there may be periods of higher travel requirements. Must be willing to attend out-of-town meetings, work additional hours during peak periods, and work under pressure at times to meet deadlines. Some lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. May be subject to being on call for the department as required.
