Position: Shipping & Receiving Specialist Location: Middleton, MA, United States Employment Type: Regular Category: Logistics Annual Salary: $38,600 to $49,000 Posting Date: Sep 30, 2025 Bostik Middleton is hiring Shipping & Recieving Specialist. Health benefits start on day 1 of employment. Job summary Shipping & Receiving Specialist performs warehousing and logistics tasks to support shipping and receiving operations.
Responsibilities
Utilize the SAP system to receive raw materials, purchased finished goods, and packaging supplies.
Create and apply required barcode labels for incoming materials per receiving procedures.
Scan and store material in designated locations.
Perform shipping duties in compliance with company and customer specifications.
Understand and follow Pick List instructions, including customer requirements for pulling/staging orders and any special requirements.
Maintain neat and organized shipping and receiving paperwork per process.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation and environmental regulations.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by double-checking quantities and item codes during receiving and order pulling; report losses, spills, damages, and discrepancies.
Support site cycle counts and physical inventory to maintain accuracy of warehouse inventory.
Report spills or incidents affecting safety or the environment.
Operate a forklift safely following departmental and plant safety rules.
Assist with housekeeping and complete required paperwork accurately.
Ensure compliance with company policies and with Corporate EHS safety and regulatory requirements.
Context and Environment
Fast-paced production environment where safety, accuracy, and speed are essential.
Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk throughout the workday.
Comfortable using material handling equipment, hand tools, and forklifts.
Use of a computer for data management and training.
Accountabilities
Maintain equipment and report issues to leadership as needed.
Complete assigned tasks and use problem-solving techniques to reduce waste and errors.
Adhere to Bostik, OSHA, and local regulations/policies.
Remain current on all assigned training.
Qualifications / Experience
High school diploma or GED; ability to read English and perform basic math; 1-2 years of warehousing experience or equivalent
DOT/IATA/IMDG certification to handle hazardous materials preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well in a team
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Applications)
Ability to operate automated and semi-automated equipment
Willing to work off-shift and overtime as necessary
